The Strauss Festival Orchestra Vienna, one of Europe’s leading ensembles, preserves the genuine Viennese musical culture and proclaims the eternally young fascination of Viennese music.

With countless brilliant appearances at significant music festivals, sensational TV concerts, tours in almost all European countries, America and Asia and with its multiple recordings, the orchestra is internationally synonymous with the authentic interpretation of Viennese music in historical formations, and with a wide repertoire from the classics to the Strauss Dynasty and the masters of Viennese operetta.

The concert features sopranos Marcela Cerno & Daniel Serafin; and conducted by Rudolf Streicher.

Marcela Cerno  is a soubrette performing the great parts of operettas which require a great voice such as the part of Adele in “The Bat” and the part of Margit in “Wo die Lerche singt”. Daniel Serafin has been praised as an artist of outstanding promise in opera, recital and orchestral concerts. The baritone’s operatic repertoire spans from the classics to modern works, in his portrayals as Marcello / La Boheme, Sid / Albert Herring.
