The Bahrain Music Band are set to bring back some of the most joyous memories filled with nostalgia from the songs and music of TV drama. These series spoke society’s language, in terms of the reality and aspirations that they portray, and had a massive impact on forming the identities of the Bahraini and Arab societies on a similar level, while leaving a memorable mark in our contemporary history.

Artist’s bio:

The Bahrain Music Band was established in 1997 to be an active player in enriching the local cultural scene. The band’s first concert, "Oriental Manifestations", was held in April 1998, and was met with widespread enthusiasm and acclaim. This concert was a springboard for a large number of performances in various national events, which cemented the band's name in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Once established locally, the band moved on to represent the country in regional and international events. Some of the highlights of those early performances include the 9th Arabic Music Conference and Festival in Cairo in November 2000, and the Bahrain Cultural Days in Kuwait in March 2001. The band was also a constant presence in official ceremonies involving world leaders.

As part of its mission to enrich and develop the local art scene, the band also offered five scholarships to study musical instruments, as well as spearheading the initiative to establish a music education and training centre for Bahraini singers.

Since coming under the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, the band had successful participations in events in the Arab and Western countries, including Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, Kuwait and France.
