Bahrain 43rd Fine Arts Exhibition, After 3 Months of Display, 
Has come to an end

After three months of showcasing works of art, ranging from painting, sculpture, installations, photography and others, Bahrain 43rd Fine Arts Exhibition has come to end on 27 March 2017. Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) has organized this annual art show Under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Khalifa Bin Salman who inaugurated it at the National Theater earlier this year.

The Bahrain Fine Arts Exhibition has become an important annual event visited by many people from Bahrain and abroad. The exhibition is a celebration which reflects Bahrain’s rich cultural and civilizational heritage and development, dealing with social and cultural issues seen through eyes of talented artists. Representing an opportunity to highlight different schools of thought, artists’ perceptions and ideological backgrounds are asked to evoke freely in order to instigate a dialogue about pluralism and artistic visions, experiences and expressions. Art masterpieces by talented artists tried to highlight many subjects and issues, using differ tools, such as installations, paintings, sculpture, photography, calligraphy, video etc.

The winners of this year's edition were announced mid-January 2017, whereby Bahraini artist, Nader Al-Abbassi clinched the "Al-Dana" prize, which is designed by Khalil Al-Hashem. The second prize went to artist Noora Fraidoon for her installation art work, Aliya Ahmad, poetry artist won the third prize for poetry art work.

the 43rd Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities as part of its “ Our Year of Archaeology 2017” theme, has honoured participant artists ‘works selected by an external Arbitration Committee. BACA has shown again this year its keenness to make the exhibition a platform for showcasing distinguished art works of Bahraini and expatriate artists, noting that art is a global language that unites all.
