H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Lebanese Ambassador

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, BACA, received, on 5 June 2018, the Lebanese Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E Dr. Milad Nammour, and discussed ways and means to enhance cooperation to achieve joint cultural projects.

H.E Shaikha Mai welcomed her guest and stressed the importance of maintaining the strong relations between Bahrain and Lebanon extended thanks to the ambassador for the his exerted efforts to enhance Bahraini-Lebanese relations. H.E also informed H.E Dr. Milad Nammour about the latest cultural developments in the kingdom, citing BACA’s celebrations of “Muharraq as Capital of Islamic Culture 2018”, holding of two concerts marking Eid Al-Fitr, the official launch of the 10th edition of the Bahrain Summer Festival, as well as the on-going preparations to host the 42nd World Heritage Committee meeting on 24 June 2018.

The Lebanese ambassador, for his part lauded BACA’s role in enriching the cultural scene in the kingdom by planning different amazing cultural events and exhibitions, promoting, thus, Bahrain’s position and role as a regional and international cultural center. Lebanese ambassador, H.E Dr. Milad Nammour also expressed his readiness to cooperate with BACA in order to enhance relations between the two brotherly countries.
