Bahrain 27th International Music Festival Presents, Hussain Al-Adhamy Concert at Bahrain National Theater
Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) has announced that Bahrain 27th International Music Festival’ tickets are on sale now. Iraqi artist Hussain al-Adhamy concert will be held on 18 October 2018 at Bahrain National Theatre. Iraqi artist Hussain al-Adhamy was born in Baghdad’s Adhamiya district, an important centre of the Iraqi Maqam genre of music and song. Born to a family that has long practiced this deep-rooted heritage, he earned a high arts diploma in music and song from the Iraqi Institute of Musical Studies and his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in oriental and occidental musical sciences from the University of Baghdad and the Arab University of North America. Over his illustrious career, which spans more than 45 years, Al-Adhamy brought the Iraqi Maqam genre to audiences in more than 70 countries and received numerous medals, awards and distinctions from festivals and artistic conferences.
2018 Bahrain 27th International Music Festival’s programme also include other events, such as art exhibitions, lectures and evenings of music hosted by many culture venues, like the Cultural Hall, Art Center, Tree of Life, Dar al Riffa and Dar Muharraq, from 18-27 October 2018. Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities invites everyone to attend and enjoy these free and public magnificent events as part of this international music festival, except those held at National Theater.
