Bahrain Culture Authority Launches a High Quality Copies of Holy Quran

Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, the Bahrain Authority for Culture &Antiquities has launched  a very high-quality copies of the Holy Quran, which have been specially prepared and printed during  the celebration of “Muharraq, the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018, nominated by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO). The event promoted beautiful Islamic arts and culture during a whole year.

Bahrain Culture Authority, after the approval of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf, took the initiative to launch this series of copies, characterised by blue cover and white pages framed in blue. Copies are available at the Bahrain National Museum Gift Shop.

This initiative underlines the Authority’s keenness to highlight Islamic elements through the art of calligraphy and promote aesthetics, arts and Islamic culture, especially after the strenuous efforts deployed by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, last  September 2018,  and calls on Paris-based UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to adopt a resolution to proclaim November 18 of each year as International Day of Islamic Art.
