During the opening ceremony day, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities will announce the exhibition’s annual competition awards, which is supervised by an international Arbitration Committee, which is supervised by a high-profile jury comprising founder and director of the Al Riwaq Art Space, Bayan Kanoo, in addition to Saudi art professor, Dr. Effat Abudlla Fadag, from Saudi Arabia, and artist Mohammed Al-Merbati, from Morocco.  The public will discover the winner of the prestigious  "Al-Dana" Award, designed by artist Khalil Al-Hashimi, while the second  winner will have the opportunity to showcase his/her artwork during one-month at the Art Centre. Meanwhile, the third winner will be granted one of the  notable artist residencies abroad.

Those who were once young and enthusiastic art students hoping to take part in the exhibition are now the pioneers of the Bahraini Art Movement. This exhibition now stands witness of the evolution of the Bahraini Art Scene throughout the years and a reference documenting  Art in Bahrain’s history, a living example of a vivid culture scene in constant development.
