The “Table & Chair” competition aimed to explore possible table and chair configurations, providing an understanding of the aesthetic and functional qualities of these designs. Taking form, function and ergonomics into consideration, we encouraged innovation, sustainability and versatility in all the submitted designs. We chose tables and chairs as our objects as they have the greatest capacity of any piece of furniture to ‘reinvent’ themselves. Encouraging the use of recycled and upcycled materials, selected submissions reflected the research, data collection and design processes. The winners’ prizes are generously awarded by D.Haus.
