H.E Shaikha Mai Receives FOWPAL Delegation

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) received last week at her office the delegation of Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), led by its president Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, who was invited by H.R.H. Prince Khalifa bin Salman, Prime Minister of Bahrain, to visit Bahrain during the first week of June for cultural exchanges.

H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa welcomed the delegation, briefing them about the top priorities of BACA with regard to cultural and heritage events and programs, given their common shared values, openness culture and ancient civilizations. H.E added that Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities has started celebrative events “Our Year of Archaeology 2017” to promote investment in cultural tourism, preparing for Muharraq as "the Capital of Islamic Culture" 2018, given its rich cultural and historical heritage as well as its embodiment of the sustainable development fundamentals.

Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, for his part, expressed his thanks for BACA’ president for her relentless efforts to promote culture, art and openness through the world-renowned policies aimed at the perseveration of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Dr. Hong Tao-Tze, then gave a presentation on Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), arguing that since its inception in 2000, FOWPAL has spared no effort to advance the mission of promoting love, peace and human rights throughout the world. FOWPAL has travelled to 71 countries to spread the message of world peace and love by holding cultural exchange program, ceremony of ringing the Bell of Peace, and world summit of love and peace in which world leaders congregate and discuss the agendas of essential importance to benefit the world. As of today, 288 Bell ringers, including 36 heads of states and government and 8 Nobel Prize Laureates, have rung the Bell of Peace and made commitments to love and peace.
