H.E Shaikha Hala Heads a Delegation to GCC Cultural Committee Meeting in Riyadh
H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, Director of Culture & Arts Directorate, accompanied by Mr. Hani Jamal, Director of the National Theater, led a delegation from Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities to participate in the 47th GCC Cultural Committee meeting, held on February 21-22 March 2017, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
H.E Shaikha Hala bin Mohammed Al Khalifa chaired the meeting, in the presence of GCC Culture Directors and representatives and discussed the main decisions reached during the last culture ministers' meeting. The meeting also discussed many cultural common issues, including recommendations to strengthen the Gulf of National Identity, common regulations of the cultural work, the adoption of the plan of cultural activities for the years 2017-2018 and a project of a Gulf cultural program within the GCC countries.
H.E Shaikha Hala bin Mohammed Al Khalifa has pointed out that these meetings represent an opportunity to exchange and discuss different GCC point of views with regard to culture, IT infrastructure base that would enhance the cultural activities in the region. H.E added that such meetings would contribute to the development of a friendly environment events in harmony with the GCC cultural identity and pertaining to the current trends and phase.
