Culture Authority’ Efforts Yielded Mutual Art Exhibitions and Music Concerts to be held In Manama & Torino, Italy
A delegation led by H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, Arts & Culture Director at Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), visited Torino, Italy, recently and met with many art and music institutions. The visit yielded many agreements with the Italian counterparts with regard to mutual art and music projects to be implemented earlier next year.
H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa started her visit, accompanied by a delegation, on 16 & 17 November 2017, by touring the most important and famous cultural centers in the city of Torino, Italy, such as “Sandretto Re Rebaudengo” art foundation museum in Turin, where the delegation met with Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, president of the foundation and discussed with her the possibilities of holding art exhibitions, expertise exchange program, development of modern art and enhancing youth art movement in Bahrain. H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa also visited Albertina Arts Academy to discuss future mutual ways and means of cooperation; they were welcomed by Mr. Fiorenzi Alviri, President of Acadamia Albertina and Marco Zuccarini, director of the Music Institute and Conservatorio in Turin, Italy.
In March 2018, Bahrain will also organize an exhibition by the Institute of Theater Design on the history of design form the Greeks until today , in Bahrain in March 2018 and music shows by the Music Institute and Conservatorio in Turin, Italy.
In 2019, Bahrain will showcase its genuine historical cultural heritage in Torino; an art exhibition showcasing the paintings and works of Bahrain Fine Art young talents will be organized, in cooperation with Albertina Arts Academy. Music Institute and Conservatorio in Turin will also host Bahrain amazing music concerts.
Worth to mention that H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Kahlifa, President of Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), was nominated last March, to be elected as a “Honorary Academician “member of the “member of the Albertina Arts Academy and Torino Music Institute. Albertina Arts Academy is, no doubt, one of the most important cultural centers in Torino city, Italy. H.E Shaikha Mai was also conferred the Golden Medal from Santo Porto Academy and Venaria Reale Foundation, these honours were granted only to leading cultural and artistic personalities in recognition of their cultural and artistic role in humanity's progress. H.E Shaikha Mai bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities President, received in March 2017 an Italian delegation from the city of Torino, mainly academic professors at Albertina Arts Academy, the Music Institute and Conservatorio in Turin, Italy and Messina University.
