Bahrain National Museum Children’s Workshop, “Design Your Own Dilmuni Seal”
Bahrain National Museum continues to attract many visitors and lovers to discover it’s amazing historical wonders and enjoy a myriad of events and activities planned by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities. Thus, a workshop for kids from 6–10 years old, was held on 25 November 2017, and will be re-scheduled every month during the current exhibition, to introduce the little ones to Dilmun seals making industry.
“Design Your Own Dilmuni Seal” workshop’s objective was to help children learn about the function and uses of the stamp seals during the Dilmun Period in Bahrain during a guided visit to the newly opened exhibition “The Stamp Seal: Hallmark of Dilmun and its Hidden Art” at the Bahrain National Museum. Each participate had the opportunity to create and design his/her own seal and get inspired by the designs and motifs used by the Dilmun people to personalize their seals 5000 years ago.
