Album Launch of “Orchestral Bahraini Tunes” by Composer Mubarak Najem

Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities hosted the album launch of “Orchestral Bahraini Tunes” event by Composer Mubarak Najem" on Sunday, 26 November at 7pm, at the Art Centre. The event was attended by a huge number of cultural figures and lovers of arts and music in Bahrain.

Speaking for the occasion, H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, Arts & Culture Director at Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), said “ we are pleased to see Bahraini creative talents travelling the world through music aborad our national carrier. Our Art Center is even honored to witness this special event celebrating the genuine Bahraini music and cherish it”. H.E added that this album would enhance the sense of identity and belonging to a deeply-rooted civilization, and guarantees vocal and music heritage of our kingdom. On behalf of H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, H.E Shaikha Hala thanked all those who have contributed to the success of this album, its production and registration and distribution.

H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa added that Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities will celebrate music production and composition during National Day festivities, by hosting on 16 December 2017, a special Bahraini tunes music night at Bahrain National Theater, featuring Bulgarian orchestra led by dr. Mabarek Najem and Maestro Deyan Pavlov.

Composer Mubarak Najem, forhis part, expressed his gratitude and thanks to Authority for Culture & Antiquities for patronizing this album launch, extending his thanks to Gulf Air for sponsoring the project of redistribution and production of these genuine collection of Bahraini songs. He added that the project is a pioneer endeavor aimed at safeguarding Bahraini music heritage, expressing his joy about the huge attendance for the launch of the album. Reproduction of the selected songs was decided according to a historical background, highlighting the different stages of Bahraini music development and its prominent icons.

The musical album contains the most well-known, national and sentimental songs of our beloved Bahraini and Khalleji music heritage, such as “ Taw al Nahar, (it’s still early), Coco, Tabbine 3aini, Jorooh, Annoo 3al bal, Mathayel, fil 3alli, Kam Sana, ya zina, na3m na3m.. Worth to mention that composer Mubarak Najem PhD in Arts from Cairo Academy of Arts. Dr Mubarak Najem is one of the most important composers and conductors in Bahrain who started writing music when he was 13 years old. Dr. Mubarek Naejm collaborated with Bulgarina Orchestra to achieve this wonderful album success.
