H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Newly-appointed Jordanian Ambassador

H.E Shaikha Mai bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities President, received, on 18 September, H.E Rami Saleh Werikat, the - appointed Jordanian Ambassador to Bahrain, wishing him every success in his diplomatic activities. During the meeting both sides, discussed joint cultural and intellectual and historical cooperation, as well as a number of pertaining Bahraini cultural issues.

H.E Shaikha Mai bin Mohammed Al Khalifa congratulated ambassador Rami Saleh Werikat , inviting his Excellency to visit and discover the cultural and heritage treasures of Bahrain and the historical places that testify to the deeply-rooted civilization of Bahrain. In addition, H.E Shaikha Mai briefed the ambassador on the ongoing preparations to welcome the year 2018 in which Muharraq will be "Capital of Islamic Culture". H.E underlined the importance of having solid relations between Bahrain and Jordan, pointing out cultural cooperation and Bahrain's hosting of Jordan as guest of honour in the previous edition of Bahrain International Book Fair.

The Jordanian ambassador, for his part, thanked H.E Shaikha Mai for the kind invitation and warm welcome, hailing BACA's efforts to enrich the cultural momentum in Bahrain and beyond. The Jordanian ambassador also expressed readiness to cooperate with the authority to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly countries and project the Arab civilisational achievements around the world.
