Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities will inaugurate, on 8 February 2018, the Arabic version of the ”Sound and Light” project at the Qala’at Al-Bahrain site, at 6pm. The show will be followed by the English version at 7pm.
The story of Bahrain as told by its most renounced site: Qal’at al Bahrain. An interactive and moving audio visual experience which will take the audience in a guided journey from the present into the past, and back. The project was first launched to celebrate Bahrain’s National Day last December, and in conclusion of the ”If Our Monuments Could Speak 2017” Year.
The project tells the story of civilizations hosted by Bahrain throughout history through a live, moving audiovisual experience which will take the audience on a journey from the present into the past. Qala’at Al-Bahrain is the first archaeological site in Bahrain to be designated as one of the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.The legendary “Sound and Light” show will be presented at the site of Qala’at al-Bahrain and its historical and cultural significance that is beyond any words or description. State-of-art technologies of lighting, laser shows and projection will be used to visualize and bring to life the mysteries of the a unique Bahrain and GCC site and the successive civilizations starting with Dilmun until today.
