H.E Shaikha Mai Meets the Japanese Ambassador

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), received on 4 June 2018, the Japanese Ambassador to Manama, His Excellency Ambassador Hideki and discussed joint cooperation. The meeting was attended by a delegation representing the department of cultural cooperation at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa hailed the level of cultural cooperation between Bahrain and Japan, and stressed her keenness to build bridges of communication between the Kingdom of Bahrain and friendly countries, praising the constructive cooperation between the two sides, lauding the Japanese Embassy’s role in boosting the bilateral cultural exchange. H.E highlighted the Japanese cultural presence in Bahrain through the annual and multiple cultural events and activities whereby Japan is constantly present. In addition, the two sides also aspects of cooperation to conserve heritage, exchange expertise programs and mutual specialists transfer and experts’ visits between both countries.

His Excellency Ambassador Hideki Ito and the Japanese envoy stressed readiness to work with Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities’ officials to build bridges of cultural cooperation between Bahrain and Japan. They also praised BACA’s projects aimed at enhancing and promoting Bahrain’s position and role as a regional and international cultural center.
