BACA’s Delegation’s Visit to The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture

H.E Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director-General of Culture & Arts, at the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, keen to consolidate economic, social and cultural relations and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, visited the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, also known as Ithra.

The visit aimed at enhancing cooperation and common cultural projects between both countries, ways and means of implementing mutual cultural activities, given the historical and brotherly relations between both kingdoms. Worth to mention that many past cultural cooperation programs had been organized mutually in this regard.

The delegation enjoyed a guided tour throughout the modern-technology famous center, Located in Dhahran, in the eastern province, which provides a wide range of activities serving the local population and becoming a cultural landmark on a regional, national, and global horizon. The 80,000 square meter fully integrated institution houses world class archives, library, learning center, a four-gallery museum and children’s museum (presenting rotating and permanent exhibitions), cafes and gift shops, hosting youth enrichment and innovation programs, as well as act as a major venue for live and multimedia events. The auditorium seats 900 visitors and provides for a wide range of events ranging from opera, symphony concerts, musicals, and speeches etc.
