Bahrain Culture Authority Organizes Bilad Al-Qadeem Walkathon
As part of its strategy to raise awareness about the importance of the historical heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities organizes a walkathon for the public at al bilad Qadeem area on 17 November 2018. The event starts at 10:00 am at Al-Khamis Mosque parking lot and participants are invited to register in advance via BACA’s website : culture.gov.bh
The tour will begin from Khamis Mosque then to Al Hassan Mosque and end at the Ben Zidan Mounds, whereby participants will discover the mosque features and the site altogether, excavated by the British Archeological Expedition. The Tour at the excavation site will be conducted by the British Expedition team leader, Timothy Insoll and Dr. Salman Al Mahari at Bilad Al-Qadeem, where visitors will know more about the site and its importance in the history of Bahrain. questions and enquiries in English and Arabic will be available for participants.
