H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Head of Corporate Communications at National Bank of Bahrain

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, received on 19 November 2018, Mr. Hisham Abu Alfateh, Head of Corporate Communications at National Bank of Bahrain. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in order to implement joint projects that enrich the cultural scene in Bahrain.

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad welcomed Mr. Hisham Abu Alfateh, arguing that private-public partnership in Bahrain has yielded positive results and helped flourish a vivid cultural scene, lauding the generous support of the National Bank of Bahrain and its Golden sponsorship of 2018 Spring of Culture Festival. H.E also expressed thanks for NBB’s continuous support to BACA' s projects, arguing that all parties are invited to provide their expertise and know-how in order to make Bahrain an attractive cultural and civilization destination. H.E briefed Mr. Hisham Abu Alfateh about the latest cultural events orchestrated by BACA, its agenda to celebrate the final ceremony of Muharraq as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018, on 28 November, and the inauguration ceremony of Pearling Path Visitor Center on 29 November, a UNESCO World Heritage List site, scheduled during the Extraordinary Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers in Manama, on 28-29 November 201, which is under the High Patronage of under the High Patronage His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, May God Protect Him.

Mr. Hisham Abu Alfateh, For his part, praised the landmark cultural achievements attained by Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, lauding BACA's role in boosting the kingdom's status on the regional and international cultural map. Mr. Hisham Abu Alfateh thanked H.E Shaikha Mai for her tireless efforts to enhance the local cultural movement, affirming NBB’s constant readiness to cooperate with BACA in delivering artistic, literary and intellectual activities that would attract visitors and residents.
