“Embroidery of Thobe Nashal” Workshop, At Qala’at l Bahrain Site Museum

Qala’at al Bahrain Site Museum, as part of its interactive and rich cultural agenda, organizes a workshop on “ Embroidery of Thoob al Nashel”, on 29 November 2018 at 4:00pm at Bahrain Fort.

Traditionally, the embroidery of Thobe Nashal used to be handmade and the main garment was in natural silk. However, nowadays, an embroidery machine is used and the garment is made out of synthetic fabric. The production of Thobe Nashal requires several steps, beginning with planning the embroidery and ends with polishing of the threads. In this workshop you will be introduce to the craft of Thobe Nashal embroidery.
