Participation in the Bahrain 46th  Annual Fine Arts Exhibition is Open

 

The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting online applications until December 15th  2019 regarding the 46th  Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, which  will be held in January 2020. The annual arts show is held every year  under the patronage of H.R.H. Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, May God Protect Him, since 1972.

Like its previous editions, the annual arts exhibition is open to Bahraini artists and others artists residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain as well, belonging to different schools of thought, perceptions and artistic styles. All kinds of art works, such as sculpture, graphic design, photography, video and painting are welcomed to take part in this exhibition.

All applicants must satisfy the entry and final acceptance requirements to participate in this annual show from the Selection & Acceptance Committee. First Applicants must be Bahraini nationals or residents in Bahrain and  above the age of 18, and that their artworks must be authentic and original and no more than 12 months old from the opening of the exhibition, with  maximum dimensions of 2x2x2m. Every artist must submit a collection of 3 artworks (ensuring cohesiveness), except installation artists, the artworks will either be accepted or rejected as a collection. In the case of installations, make sure a  PDF file document is sent with full description/sketches of the work (taking into considerations scales and ratios), specifying area needed and material used, as well as exhibiting requirements (electricity, lights, etc..).

Artists may submit applications for participation in the the 46th  Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, only by filling in the online form on Bahrain’s Authority of Culture and Antiquities’ website www.culture.gov.bh. Only completed applications will be presented to and discussed with the selection committees.
