H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities received, on 19 August 2020, Mr. Fawzi Kanoo, Deputy Chairman of Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and Mr. Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, Board Member of YBA Kanoo Group. The meeting discussed ways and means of developing potential cooperation between both parties with regard to the implementation of a new museum project for the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo family in Manama. 
 
During the meeting, H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa argued that developing a strong sustainable cultural infrastructure would entail concerted efforts to be deployed by all entities, private and public, lauding the contribution of Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo group in the development and modernization process of the Kingdom of Bahrain. H.E also said that the historical city of Manama boasts many historical buildings that reflect its central role as a civilizational hub in the region. H.E added to say that Bahrain Culture Authority is keen to safeguard and preserve the gorgeous character of the old city through many initiatives, such as the most brilliant “Manama Call” endeavor, bringing together BACA along with all sides and Bahraini families in order to preserve the universal memorial identity of the historical Manama city. 
 
In addition, both parties discussed the different aspects of establishing a new Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo family museum at company’s headquarters in Manama Souq, indicating that this project aims to safeguard the old historical building, as well as preserve and showcase Kanoo family’s achievements in economic, social and cultural fields during the last decades in Bahrain and the region as a whole. 
 
Mr. Fawzi Kanoo, for his part, expressed his thanks to H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa and to Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities for its relentless strenuous efforts to promote the civilization and outstanding achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain regionally and internationally. Mr. Fawzi Kanoo reaffirmed his strong conviction that the cooperation with Bahrain Culture Authority in carrying out this project, namely Youssef Bin Ahmad Kanoo family museum, would certainly sustain and engender potential support and highlight to this project and would contribute in making another great historical achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
