Bahrain Authority for Culture announced the postponement of the 19th edition of the Bahrain International Book Fair, scheduled for March 25, until further notice.

Bahrain’s Biennale International Book Fair, 2020, welcoming Kuwait as the Guest of Honour, is considered as an essential cornerstone in the comprehensive widespread prosperous renaissance era under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, May God Protect Him. This major cultural event reflects in its entirety many positive bright symbols translating the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Wise Leadership strong belief and productive investment in culture in all its aspects and manifestations as the real and genuine identity and image of peoples and civilizations.    

Indeed, Bahrain International Book Fair has always been under the gracious patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, May God Protect Him. This generous support is a fact that has undoubtedly, attracted and encouraged as many as 120.000 titles showcased during the last editions so far, and thousands visitors to discover the universal value of the books and publications presented by 250 Arabic and international publishing houses. Bahrain International Book Fair, which has gained its good reputation internationally during the last years, has encouraged many publishing companies, Arab and foreign bookshop publishing and printing houses, to participate and present their latest literary products. Considered as a new quantum leap on the cultural scene, the expo continues to allure and attract thousands of worldwide public interested in the diversity of the fair, making Bahrain a favorite worldwide historical and civilizational destination, the biggest regional and global cultural hub for bookworms, art enthusiasts, music aficionados, film connoisseurs or ballet dance lovers.
