The Young Artisan - Cold Ceramic Dough Making Workshop

Workshop Overview:

As part of the Young Artisan program, Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre organises a creative interactive workshop on the art of Cold Ceramic Dough making, which is a material used in manufacturing ceramics, pottery, porcelain and plaster. This dough consists of a mixture of clay, adhesives, and water. The origin of using air-dry clay in the ceramic industry dates back to ancient times, where it was used to make household utensils, temples, and artistic works.

Workshop Topics:

• We will learn how to make ceramic paste.
• How to colour the dough.
• How to maintain the consistency of the dough.
• Uses of dough.

Workshop Outcomes:

• Each participant will need to put everything above into practice.
