Knitting Workshop

Workshop Overview:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre is organising a creative Knitting Workshop, a hands-on craft in which fabric is formed by interlocking yarn using needles to create rows of loops. Knitted fabric is known for its softness, elasticity, and stretchability, making it versatile and widely used in clothing such as shirts, pullovers, dresses, sportswear, winter garments, gloves, socks, as well as bedding and covers.

Workshop Topics:

• Identifying knitting tools, their types, and how to choose the right ones for different projects.
• Mastering the correct grip for knitting needles.
• Learning and mastering basic knitting stitches.
• How to start a knitting piece and calculate stitches for the proper size.
• How to properly finish and bind off the piece.

Workshop Outcomes:

•  A handmade scarf in any size chosen by the participant.
