Resin Art Workshop

Details of the Workshop:

Al Jasra Handicrafts Centre organises a Resin Workshop.  Resin is a new highly versatile material that can be used for a variety of handicrafts and works of art. It is used in decor, flooring, and furniture pieces. Resin is also used, in combination with other materials and dyes, in creating innovative artistic formations of accessories, jewellery, and other works of art.

Objectives:

  • Introduce participants to resin art and its uses in artwork &
  • Train them to mix and pour resin safely and skilfully.
  • Enhance their creativity in coordinating colours and additions (such as dried flowers or glitter).
  • Enable participants to create a personalised product that expresses their artistic taste.

Workshop Topics:

  • Introduction to resin, its types and artistic uses.
  • Explanation of the mixing steps and correct ratios between resin and hardener.
  • Introduction to protective and safety equipment during work.
  • Practical application of pouring resin into medal moulds and adding decorative elements.
  • Steps for polishing and final finishing and attaching the metal ring to the medal.

Workshop Outcomes:

A transparent art medal made of resin, decorated with artistic elements (such as flowers, letters, or wavy colours), ready for use or gifting.
