Minister of Culture Receives South Korean Ambassador

H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture received the newly-appointed Korean Ambassador to Bahrain, Joonha Yu on June 10, 2014, to discuss ways and means of boosting and promoting cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries. Common fruitful projects between the two sides would get the two peoples closer and enhance communication to interact with regard to discovering mutual civilizations and cultures common to humanity. The Minister of Culture wished the Korean Ambassador success in his new diplomatic mission.

During the meeting, H.E praised the longstanding ties between Bahrain and South Korea and emphasised the potential for both countries to increase cooperation across a range of areas. H.E highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations with South Korea, and underscored the importance of establishing a common framework of cooperation built upon clear channels of communication between the two countries.
H.E Minister of Culture also outlined the string of remarkable achievements and investment projects which embellished Manama, Bahrain's largest city, over the past few years especially after choosing Manama the Capital of Asian Tourism for the year 2014.

S. Korean Ambassador commended the cultural and tourism events hosted and organized by the Ministry of Culture in Bahrain, hailing the ministry's role in promoting the Kingdom's millennia-old history and heritage. The two sides discussed ways of promoting Manama as Capital of Asian Tourism 2014 Minister and praised the steadily growing bilateral cooperation relations in all fields.
