Minister of Culture receives Tamkeen Board Chairman to Discuss Bahrain’s Promotion Projects
H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture, received on Thursday 25th October a delegation from the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), led by the Political and Economic Adviser at HRH the Crown Prince's Court, and Tamkeen's Board Chairman and Acting CEO, H.E Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The meeting focused on the Culture Ministry's activities as part of its celebrations of Manama as Capital of Capital of Asian Tourism in 2014. H.E Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa praised the Ministry's efforts to develop the tourism sector and promote the Kingdom regionally and at the international level. The Ministry of Culture continues its activities aimed at supporting tourism through a promotional campaign, which was launched during the summer to attract more visitors and tourists. This rainbow-like campaign celebrates the diversity, beauty, and joy of living in Bahrain, a home for many civilizations, arts and cultures from around the world. The facilities offered are temping, such as the 20% discount on all Four & Five star hotels accommodation offers, for Bahraini and residents all year long, in collaboration with the tourism sector.
H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammad Al-Khalifa, confirmed that continuity and collaboration as a general policy of the Culture Ministry's from the basis for cooperation with official and private sides for the sake of achieving the best results in the tourism sector. H.E also expressed the Ministry of Culture's readiness to enhance its cooperation with Tamkeen to achieve the common goal of promoting Bahrain, in light of the launch of the "Bahrain Is Your Destination" campaign months ago, in collaboration with a number of 4-star and 5-star hotels, and the promotional campaign on MBC and Al-Arabiya TV channels.
