Minister of Culture Receives Greek Ambassador
H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Culture, received the Greek Ambassador to Kuwait and Bahrain Theodoros Theodorou on 25th October 2014. The two sides discussed bilateral relations in the fields of culture and tourism, in light of the two countries' interests in heritage as a tourism front, and keenness to take advantage of their similar rich civilizations to enhance joint action to boost cultural tourism.
The meeting comes as part of the mutual cooperation and deep-rooted relations between both countries. The Greek Ambassador lauded the Ministry of Culture's efforts to consolidate cultural and tourism work in the Kingdom.
H.E Greece’s Ambassador also praised the Ministry's support for diverse artistic events and the hosting of international groups as part of its celebrations of the "Year of the Art" and the choice of Manama as Capital of Asian Culture in 2014.
