End of Bahrain Summer Festival Concludes With More Than 80,000 Visitors Registered

After a month of festivities and joyful events, the 7th Bahrain Summer Festival edition, which kicked off in Sitra a month ago, has come to its end on 31 August 2015. The closing ceremony took place yesterday at Nakhool Garden in the presence of H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, president of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, festival sponsors, and a number of journalists and lovers of culture and arts in the kingdom.

Speaking on the occasion Shaikha Mai said, “This is our endeavor to consolidate love and rapprochement and to build bridges between us and the rest of the world for a universal humane gathering.” H.E added saying, “Bahrain Summer’s bright stars have lit our nights with many beautiful rainbow dreams and aspirations. It uplifted our spirits and rejoiced our hearts proving that Bahrain is a safe place for beauty, culture, and happy life together.”

H.E. Shaikha Mai added that culture is worth the challenge and is the best way to experience memorable moments of joy and wonder, arguing that most Bahraini and visiting families enjoyed the cultural, artistic, social and humane masterpieces reflected by Nakhool Garden.

The Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities president gave a speech in which H.E expressed her gratitude and appreciation to “Those who still believe that love and beauty can only manifest itself through culture and arts and to those who have contributed to the success of the 7th edition of Bahrain Summer Festival. Bahrain’s universal human values and achievements are shared by all.”
H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa also thanked all the sponsors for making Bahrain Summer Festival possible this year; H.E Sheikh Nawwaf bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa (Water & Electricity Authority), Mr. Khaled Abdulraheem and Ms. Noof Abdulraheem-Cebarco, Abdulraheem Group, Mr. Raouf Youssef Nasser, Creative Design, H.E Sheikh Hisham bin Mohammad Al-Khalifa, (Sitra Commercial Compound), Mr. Ammar Bashir, creative sponsor (French House Design), Mr. Jameel Wafa, UNITAG, Mrs. Laurence Rodriguez, Show Tech and Mr. Lajour Olivo, SEPIATONE. Sponsors included hotels, such as Mr. Abdulrahman Morshed, Radisson Blu Hotel, Mr. Abdulraheem Al-Sayyed, CEO at the Golden Tulip hotel, and Mr. Aqeel al-Rayes, Gulf Hotel.

In addition, the Authority’s president also extended her thanks to all Bahrain Summer festival media sponsors including: Daily Tribune, Rotana magazine, Ohlala magazine, Kouoner Group, Bahrain This Week, Fact magazine, Indian radio, Your FM, and Al-Wasat newspaper. H.E. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa also expressed her gratitude to the Egyptian, French and Philippine embassies for their support and cooperation with the Authority to make Bahrain Summer festival a successful cultural event enjoyed by all.
