In a visit to the French Embassy, H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, president of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that struck the French capital Paris leaving many deaths and injuries among innocent victims. She offered her deepest condolences to the French government and the people over the heinous terror attacks which left dozens of casualties. During the visit, H.E signed the book of condolence for those killed in Friday's atrocities.
H.E Sh. Mai has paid tribute to the victims of the “heartless Paris attacks”, saying that the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris are "an attack on mankind" and that Bahrain condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. In a statement, H.E stated, "I am deeply shocked and appalled by the series of attacks in Paris. I express to the French people, and especially the families of the victims, my deepest condolences. These are moments when we stick together firmly and must demonstrate unity against inhumanity.”
H.E reiterated Bahrain's unwavering support for the government and people of France, stressing the deep-rooted relations bonding the two countries. H.E also said, “Not only human beings are targeted in this criminal acts, but world peace, which we have always worked to promote through building bridges of communications among various peoples.”
BACA’s president reaffirmed Bahrain’s firm stance in denouncing all forms and manifestation of terrorism, regardless of its motives, justifications, or those behind it, while wishing a swift recovery for those injured as a result of the heinous terrorism acts that contravene all religious teachings and faiths, as well as humane values and ethics.
The French Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E Bernard Fabre, for his part, expressed his thanks and gratitude to BACA’s president and saluted her keenness in standing by the French people in their plight.
