Bahrain Fort Site Museum Launches Visitors Reading Corner

With a compilation of more than 150 books in Arabic and English for children and adults, Qala’at Al-Bahrain (Bahrain Fort) Site Museum launched a reading corner library for visitors on 1 October 2015 as part of its cultural events for this year.

The idea behind this reading corner is to encourage every child to use and develop his/her skills, talents, creativity and ideas. Amid the beauty of natural landscaping surrounding the museum coffee shop, this will help form a solid foundation in literacy and opens the door for children to excel in all areas and to become independent life-long learners. Another goal of this reading corner is to foster civic responsibility, compassion for others, and prepare them to be active and positive members of their communities.

The reading corner will welcome visitors until the end of October 2015. Book lovers can also receive a copy of the E-Cultural Tourism Passport, which is distributed at Qala’at Bahrain Site Museum and 21 other cultural tourism locations in Bahrain.
