Bahrain’s Art Center inaugurates a common installation exhibition ‘Abstract Rhythm’ by a group of talented Bahraini artists on 7 October 2015. The theme of the exhibition reflects the human state of mind and daily reality such as; rhythm- monotony- and continuity. The installation exhibition is to coincide with the Bahrain Music Festival. The participating Bahraini artists are: Ali Hussain Mirza, Mariam Al Noaimi and Maysam Al Nasser. It will run until 20 October 2015.
‘Abstract Rhythm’ explores topics and concepts such as rhythm, balance, and echoing while using voice and light techniques as well as other materials, which reflect the importance and presence of music in our daily lives and actions.
According to these artists, concepts such as rhythm- monotony- and continuity may sound and actually belong to the music jargon, but we really experience them every day; physically at home, in the street; some are obligatory and others by choice, some are positive, the other negative. Indeed, our lives are, in a way, a rhythm and the works exhibited are a reflection of our inner selves, things that we live or we will see in the future. Many questions and concepts showcased by this art exhibition are discussed directly or indirectly by these creative art works.
