Jordanian Constitutional Court President Visit to National Museum

President of the Jordanian Constitutional Court Chancellor Taher Hikmat and his accompanying delegation visited Bahrain National Museum in the presence of President of Bahrain Constitutional Court Sheikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al Khalifa. They were welcomed by representatives from the archaeology and museum sectors at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).

The delegation toured the museum’s sections and the inherent Bahraini heritage depicted in the customs and traditions hall was highlighted. The delegation also enjoyed the Arab Calligraphy exhibition being held from the 4th of April to the 4th of May. The exhibition displays a collection featuring some rare and exquisite illuminated manuscripts that are shown to the public for the first time in celebration of ‘Manuscript Day’. They also visited the National Theatre overlooking the coast and lauded the traditional Bahraini architecture.
The Jordanian Constitutional Court President commended the care given by BACA to the archaeology and heritage sector, praising cultural development in Bahrain as well as the Kingdom’s hosting of the 17th edition of Bahrain International Book Fair with Jordan as the Guest of Honour.
