H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), received Kuwait’s ambassador to Bahrain, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Sheikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah on 2nd February 2016. The Kuwaiti ambassador highlighted cultural activities which are lined up as part of festivities marking “Your Destination Bahrain” 2016 campaign. 

H.E Shaikha Mai discussed with the ambassador ways to strengthen bilateral cultural ties between Bahrain and brother country Kuwait. H.E affirmed the depth of the deep-rooted Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, lauding the advanced level of cultural and human exchange between the two brotherly countries, affirming Bahrain’s continuous efforts to enhance cultural communication with other Arab countries, especially Kuwait. BACA’s president highlighted BACA’s 2016 goal of promoting the Kingdom’s cultural and tourist sites and presented the ambassador a book entitled Bahrain, Your Destination.
The two sides agreed to organize a tour of tourist and cultural sites for ambassadors in the Kingdom as part of BACA’s activities in 2016.

H.E Sheikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah, for his part, expressed sincere thanks and appreciation towards Shaikha Mai for her constant support of cultural cooperation, reiterating his readiness to cooperate with BACA to enhance Bahraini-Kuwaiti cultural relations. Ambassador Azzam hailed the efforts deployed by BACA to promote Bahrain's image as tourism and cultural destination in a time Manama is celebrating the "Bahrain Your Destination 2016" programme.
