Culture Authority Meeting with Northern Governorate’s Municipal Council, Common Cultural Assets Highlighted
As part of its communication strategy to discuss the universal and world heritage of Bahrain, a meeting was held at the Authority for Culture & Antiquities between H.E Shaikha Azza bint Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Assistant Undersecretary for Culture and National Heritage, H.E. Shaikha Hala Al Khalifa, Director of Culture & Arts Directorate and Northern Governorate's Municipal Council Chairman Mohammed Khalifa Bu Hamood. The meeting was held on 18 May 2016 and discussed the common cooperation perspectives with regard to protecting and preserving Bahrain’s national heritage.
BACA officials welcomed the municipal council delegation, stressing the importance of consolidating all parties’ efforts to protect the world heritage of Bahrain and pass it to the future generations. BACA’s officials lauded the efforts of the Northern Governorate's Municipal Council and the constant cooperation with the Authority, which would contribute to the quick implementation of many cultural projects resulting in development for Bahraini locals to enjoy and pass on.
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Khalifa Bu Hamood lauded the landmark cultural and tourism achievements attained by the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities at the local, regional and international levels. He expressed Northern Governorate's Municipal Council’s constant readiness to cooperate with BACA and contribute effectively in the cultural and tourist development in the Kingdom of Bahrain through future pioneering cultural projects.
