The “5,000 Years of Pearls from Bahrain” exhibition,  held at Pearling : Testimony of an Island Economy Visitor Center,  is still open to visitors and tourists, showcasing an exceptional selection of pearl jewellery from the collections of the National Museum of Bahrain, Mattar Jewelry House and the famous  French Jacques Cartier Collection. The exhibition will run until 14 January and is open daily from 10:00 am-6:00 pm.

 The exhibition from the collections of the National Museum of Bahrain showcases the unique and the  purest and brightest Bahraini pearls to be found around the whole world, reflecting the richness and diversity of Bahraini renowned oysters beds, also include the most expensive 6 necklaces from Matar Jewelry House, keen to present the most glimmering rarest pearls available in the Arabian Gulf region, exquisitely and masterly crafted by jewelers during a decade or more. visitors can embark on an exclusive journey through the country’s pearl trading history, following in the footsteps of the esteemed French jewelry designer Jacques Cartier, who visited Bahrain in the early 20th Century, and designed the best brightest and purest Bahraini-based pearling jewelries. 

The Pearling Path Visitor Center was recently inaugurated, as part of the exceptional closing events celebrating Muharraq as the “Capital of Islamic Culture 2018” by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad, May God Protect Him.
