H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Dr Jassim Al-Mannai
H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad Al- Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, received, on 14 January 2019, Dr. Jassim Al-Mannai, Former Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) Chairman, Board Member of BLOM Bank.
H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammad welcomed Dr. Jassim Al-Mannai, briefing him about the latest cultural events orchestrated by BACA at the beginning of the new year, heralding a special richly framed agenda. Indeed, Bahrain Culture Authority is has baptized 2019, as the “Year of Celebrations”, introducing a number of principal events that shaped the Kingdom of Bahrain's Modern history, throughout a number of remarkable cultural, economic and social achievements over 100 years.
Dr. Al-Mannai, for his part, stressed the importance of cultural programs and projects that would uplift Bahrain’s position among pioneering countries in this regard, praised the landmark cultural achievements, lauding BACA's role in boosting the kingdom's status on the regional and international cultural map. Dr. Al Mannai also hailed BACA’s strenuous efforts to build and develop a modern cultural infrastructure that would boost Bahrain’s promotion as a leading cultural tourism destination, given its rich historical universal heritage for humanity.
