Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities invites lovers of genuine classic Arabic music to attend “ A Tribute to the Great Divas of the Arab World” concert , which  will take place, on 31 January 2019,  in a nostalgic musical evening at the Bahrain National Theatre, performed by some of the region’s most talented artists, Ghada Shbeir and Mai Farouk. Bahrain Culture Authority has also announced that the concert’s tickets are now on sale and  available at  Virgin Megastore at Bahrain City Centre or via e-email at : http://www.virginmegastore.me.

This musical performance, specially designed and conducted by Ramzi Aburedwan and Alain Weber, revives some of the exquisite songs by Arab divas from the 1920’s to the 1960’s, when  the Arab world was the epicenter of a creative effervescence, where legends such as Oum Kalthoum, Asmahan, Leila Mourad and Fairuz emerged and shaped the golden age of Arabic song with their enchanting voices and indomitable personalities. These legends were transpired through movie screens and radio sets, from Egypt to Syria, radiating to the Arab Maghreb region.
