Artist Ali Mashhadi and Chef Salman Buhejji, Animated the second day of”  Food is Culture” Event

 

CArtist Ali Mashhadi lauded the creative experience shared with Chef Salman Buhejji and its importance, which lies in the personal perspective of each one of them. Mashhadi added that his expertise and long history dealings with wood enabled him to transform the raw material into useful and practical daily materials, providing a common background and shared platform for  Bahraini wood to be served by Chef Buhejji as exciting and beautiful  cuisine tools. In addition, many artworks and  wooden tables made by Mashhadi by the means of  the “ Kharata” machine were exhibited all together yesterday.

Chef Salman Buhejji spoke about the creative use of raw materials, the development of these materials in order to reflect their artistic creative image in a new style, multiple applications and delicious recipes and dishes. Buhejji added that the uniqueness of this experience lies in channeling efforts towards a common unifying idea and its implementation, resulting in an exceptional artwork.

Chef Salman Buhejji shared with the audience tasteful exquisite local and international meat  recipes and dishes, which were  sophisticated and filled with emotion, elegant and simple with a personal touch, using beautiful presentation styles.

The dual expressed their thanks to Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities for organizing this event, praising BACA’s constant support to young talented Bahrainis.  
   
The Fourth edition of “ Food is Culture “ initiative, held between 20-24 January 2019, will feature a group of chefs and artists, whereby Fashion Designer Reem BuQais and Chef Budoor Steele, will present their creative minds and arts on 22 January 2019 at7:00 pm at Bahrain National Museum. Free admission.  

Worth to mention that this is the 4th edition of  “ Food is Culture “ initiative, which is a creative experimental project that aims to bridge together the mediums of art and food, bringing together creative artists and chefs to work together and come up with an exquisite and  exceptional dual work of art. Every day at 7:00 pm, the team will also welcome and answer every the questions of the public and interact lively with the audience with regard to the fruits and results of this dual art partnership.
