H.E Shaikha Mai Receives Minister of Housing, Shared Vision to Develop Cultural Infrastructure
H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities received, on 22 January 2019, Mr. Bassim bin Yacoub Al-Hamer, Housing Minister
H.E welcomed her guest and lauded the Housing Minister’s efforts and discussed with him ways and aspects of mutual cooperation in order to promote the cultural infrastructure, a crucial platform to achieve historical development in Bahrain.
H.E briefed Ma. Al-Hamer about the latest cultural events orchestrated by BACA at the beginning of the new year, heralding a special richly framed agenda in 2019, baptized as the “Year of Celebrations”. BACA’s President also thanked Housing Minister for the constant and continuous cooperation between Bahrain Culture Authority and Housing Ministry, which reflects the shared vision to enhance the cultural infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Housing Minister, for his part, commended H.E’s strenuous efforts to enhance the cultural activities in Bahrain, expressing admiration for the wonderful work undergone by Bahrain’s Authority for Culture & Antiquities to make Bahrain a world culture hub. Mr. Bassim bin Yacoub Al-Hamer also expressed admiration for BACA’s efforts to preserve Bahrain’s heritage sites, stressing the importance of concerted efforts between all governmental entities and parties to promote and enrich the local cultural scene in Bahrain.
