Very Productive Meeting Between Culture Authority and Theater Professionals
Given its keenness to support culture and art scenes in the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities received, on 23 January 2019, Presidents of Bahraini Theaters, the Head of the Permanent Committee of Theater Groups, President of the Federation of Theater Societies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and representatives of Bahraini theater societies. H.E Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director-General of Culture & Arts, at the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities, as well as BACA’s officials also attended the meeting.
During the meeting , all parties agreed that Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities would provide a number of facilities and premises, under its command to theater representatives as their new venues where they can enjoy their theatrical events. The Culture Authority reiterated its full support to national theaters given their important role in enriching the local cultural scene in general.
Bahrain Culture Authority also renewed its commitment and constant keenness to support civil associations and local cultural organizations, which fall under the legal framework and responsibility of the Culture & Arts Directorate. The later has reiterated its readiness to sponsor and support the activities and events carried out by all different cultural entities, such as Theater, music, painting, literature and poetry, singing, history etc.
