Bahrain National Museum hosted captivating evening of artistic creativity on 23 January 2019, as the Fourth edition of “ Food is Culture “ initiative gathered this fourth dual between artist artist Areej Rajab and Chef Areej Matooq.
Speaking about her experience, artist Areej Rajab said “ I hereby present two painting depicting flowers and their relationships with humans, and the beauty of one’s spirit. Flowers are exceptionally very expressive and reflect feelings of soul blossoming in very human nature.”
Chef Areej Matooq, also commented on this unique experience saying “ We care about colours and the impact they have our lives; we’ve picked up the pink “ rosy” colour to express many feelings and things. I’ve also prepared three healthy menus in relation with edible flowers, such as goat cheese balls and truffles , flowers with chocolate”.
The Fourth edition of “ Food is Culture “ initiative will end, on 24 January 2019, with a unique first-time trio compoased by Musicians, featuring Ahmed AlQassim and Abdullah Haji along with Chef Junior Gomes at Bahrain National Museum, at 7:00 pm. Free admission
Worth to mention the Fourth edition of “ Food is Culture “ initiative, kicked off on 20 January 2019, gathering a group of chefs and artists, such as Nabeela Al-Khayyer and famous Chef Herve Pronzato, artist Ali Mashhadi and Chef Salman Buhejji, Fashion Designer Reem BuQais and Chef Budoor Steele, Artist Areej Rajab and Chef Areej Matooq.
