During a press conference, held on 27 January 2019 at the National Museum, Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA), gave the details of its  annual celebration of the National Action Charter, on 14 February 2019,  under the theme "The Fundamentals of the Charter". Bahrain Culture Authority will organize a number of cultural events, which will calm down in a mesmerizing heart-lifting music concert, titled “The Return- Spirit Of Bahrain”,  and performed by Maestro Waheed Alkhan, accompanied by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra.

H.E  Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director-General of Culture & Arts, at the Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities attended the press conference, Maestro Waheed Al-Khan, media representatives and lovers of culture in Bahrain.
 
 H.E  Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, expressed her thanks and appreciation to Maestro Waheed Al-Khan, lauding his efforts to make this special event a bright success, and also praised his unique talented music compositions and valuable contributions to Bahraini musical scene. H.E also pointed out that Bahrain Culture Authority will launch three events to celebrate the National Action Charter Day ; an art workshop as part of “5 PM at Bab” titled “"Weaving the Threads of Bahrain’s Love”. Then festivities will move to Tree of Life with an evening of folk popular music performed by Ismael Dawwas Folk Music Band, and the day will end majestically with Maestro Waheed Alkhan’s concert at the National Theater.

This performance’s title  coincides with Waheed al -Khan’s latest album, “The Return- Spirit Of Bahrain”, which reflects on the stories and scenes that were built around the Bahrain, and aims to preserve its beauty, love and harmony, while cherishing the memories of those who lived it, and sceneries to those who didn’t. it will also reflect BACA’s support for art and music, talented and outstanding names, such as Waheed Al-Khan, one of the pioneer and founder of modern Bahraini music movement. Bahrain Culture Authority will later announce the due date for Tickets’ sale.

 Maestro Waheed Al-Khan expressed his happiness to take part in this special and event and his honor to be present “The Return- Spirit Of Bahrain” concert, thanking Bahrain Authority for Culture & Antiquities (BACA) for its support and organization of this unique music magic night. Al-Khan added saying that “The Return- Spirit Of Bahrain” music project was designed to show the whole world the historical assets and achievements of Bahrain through music, and the exceptional music talents living under its sky and who are  capable to produce the most refined music ever. Al-Khan also said that the concert’s music compositions reflect different Bahraini anecdotes and highlight prominent Bahraini history symbols.
 
Worth to mention that Maestro Waheed Al-Khan is  Bahraini composer and musician, who graduated from Cairo Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor Degree in Oboe and Piano, then got  a Master Degree in Ethnomusicology. He also had founded the first  classical music institute in Bahrain, shining upon the music scene training and education  from 1986 to 2003.
Masetro al Khan proudly presented last November his State of the Art compositions, album “The Return" for philharmonic orchestra during his second concert at  the Cairo Opera House, accompanied with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. Although some of the album's pieces are inspired by Alhana and the Bahrain folkloric repertoire, the music was built on Western orchestral patterns and with astonishing smoothness in the harmonies that combined Eastern and Western instruments and he was acclaimed as the most talented artist by critics.  Maestro Waheed Al khan had also perfomed in Kodály Centre Music and Conference Centre, Pécs, Hungary, one of best and increasingly recognized music venues of Hungary and Central Europe in September 2018.
