Art Exhibition Opening, “Fusion with Passion” at the Art Center, Mixing beauty of the brush and the sweetness of poetry
The Art Centre hosted the opening of the joint exhibition “Fusion” by artist Areej Rajab and poet Bader Al Rowaihi, on 10 November 2021, in the presence of H.E Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director General of Culture and Arts at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, along with a number of artists culture lovers in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Art Centre will continue to display the masterpieces of the artists Rajab & Al Rowaihi until 24 November, from 9:00 AM until 8:00.
Bringing contemporary art and poetry into dialogue, “Fusion with Passion” exhibition is a multi-disciplinary pioneering project encompassing new commissions in a diverse mix of media and forms, a beauty tango concert dance between the brush and the pen, rainbow. Colors and words of poetry, an artistic mixture between the art of drawing and poetry writing, adding, thus, an unprecedented new dimension, different from other previous experiences in the creative art duel.
The “Fusion with Passion” art project depicts the ‘Rose’ or the ‘Flower’ as a multi-faceted imaginative act of narrating or reflecting on an artwork by the receiver, a reflection of the shifting light and color of love and an expression of the alchemy of the transforming energy in his visionary ways. The viewer will contemplate on the simplicity of life and its blessings and complexities, that same game of life we went through during 2020 with all its loneliness and alienation, conflicts and huge obstacles and challenges.
The project draws notable artist, Areej Rajab and poet Badr Al-Ruwaihi into creative discourse centered around the main theme of this harmonious talk of art, namely the ‘Rose, chosen as the main abstract subject for this experiment. Each creative talent has been invited to paint, write, perform, read or present in visual form an original work of poetry in response to this common artwork, adding some transparent philosophical reflections here, or colorful flirtations there in a harmonious identification based on laying down questions for the receiver to interpret.
