‏H. E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, received, on 10 November 2021, a delegation of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy headed by His Excellency Mr. Yousef Abdulla Humood, the Undersecretary of Financial Affairs, where they discussed the infrastructure projects of sustainable cultural tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, both parties discussed 14 infrastructure projects for sustainable cultural tourism in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which are being implemented by both sides through the years 2022-2031.

H.E Shaikha Mai lauded and praised cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and National Economy and BACA for the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels, stressing the importance of the cultural tourism infrastructure projects and their economic, social and cultural impact. There is no doubt that such economic endeavors and major projects play a crucial role in promoting the kingdom’s cultural and civilizational status at the international level, providing, thus, a unique art and culture experiences that shed lights on different historical civilizations that have settled in Bahrain since times immemorial.

For his part, the Undersecretary Yousef Abdullah Humood underlined the significance of partnership between both sides mainly in developing the cultural infrastructure, which will certainly have positive returns and prospects outcomes on the kingdom’s economy.
