H.E Shaikha Mai Receives the Newly Appointed President of Bahrain University

H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, received Her Excellency Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki, the newly appointed President of the University of Bahrain, (UoB), in her office on 10 November 2021.

H.E asserted that the University of Bahrain is the largest source of refereed scientific research in the Kingdom and in the region, as a source of knowledge, research, distinction and invention. BACA’s President congratulated Dr Al Mudhahki on her appointment, praising UoB as an educational edifice and wishing Dr. Al Mudhahki every success in her new duties. H.E highlighted the importance of cooperation between UoB and BACA in supporting multiple projects and programs in this endeavor, expertise exchange and holding joint training workshops on architecture and archaeology, as well as giving University of Bahrain’s students the opportunities to get involved in the cultural movement and various cultural projects. H.E Shaikha Mai briefed her guest about the latest cultural developments, such as undergoing preparations for the International Day of Islamic Art, which is observed on November 18, and Bahrain’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, which run until March of next year.

Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki expressed his thanks to H.E Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa for her strenuous to scale up cultural development of Bahrain’s position locally, regionally and internationally, arguing that the cooperation between the University of Bahrain the Culture Authority would certainly yield fruitful results and outstanding outcomes to be materialized through joint programs and innovative projects towards the Bahraini creative achievement process. Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki also voiced his constant readiness to reach out and communicate with Bahrain Culture Authority for the best of cooperation enhancement, making Bahrain a better place and promote its cultural and historical authentic assets.
