In a memorable concert of sweetest authentic music rhythms and lyrics, the 30th edition of Bahrain International Music Festival took the passionate audience into a journey of creative talented music compositions by one of the shining stars of Bahraini and Gulf music art. Through a heartfelt ode to the illustrious career of the Late Bahraini artist Salman Zaiman, one of the most prominent artists in Bahrain and the Gulf in the 1970s, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities paid tribute to him through this concert headlined by Mohammed Rabeea and Hind Dito, accompanied by the Bahrain Music Band and maestro Ziad Zaiman. The evening of music was attended by H.E Shaikha Hala Bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Director-General of Culture and Arts at Bahrain Culture Authority and a massive attendance that surpassed expectations.

 

The music band performed a selection of most famous compositions by the Bahraini artists Khalifa Zaiman, starting with Mohammed Dito who excelled in performing renowned songs, such as ‘ Aqbal Al-Eid’ kol Amr Sahl, ya Bu al-Fayel’ and Um Jadayel, while artist Hind Dito mesmerized the public with ‘ Inta muradi’, kan dhak awal and Ahla al-layali’.

 

Bahrain International Music Festival’s lovers are also invited to ettend and enjoy the beauty of sound and authentic rhythms offered by the Khalifa Zaiman music concert second performance, scheduled on 10 October at the Cultural Hall at 8:00 pm.

 

 Worth to mention that, in closed spaces, a maximum of 50% of the Cultural Hall capacity will be allowed on 9 & 10 October “A Tribute to Khalifa Zaiman’ concert, as per the precautionary health measures, abiding by social distancing rules and  the obligation of wearing masks. The second concert will be broadcasted live via BACA’s You Tube channel. 

 

The Late Bahraini artist Salman Zaiman, is considered one of the most prominent artists in Bahrain and the Gulf in the 1970s, an artist who has successfully taken the sweetness and simplicity of Bahrain’s music to another level of patriotism and pan Arabism. The Late Salman Zaiman is prominent music composer and founder of one of the oldest bands in Bahrain, ‘Ajrass.

 

Established in 1997, The Bahrain Music Band has achieved great local success and represented the Kingdom of Bahrain in both regional and international events, continuing its music creative journey endeavor, enriching the art and music scene as well.

 

The festival will continue until 16 October. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and India, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Bahrain International Music Festival celebrates the golden jubilee of relations between the two countries, with popular classical tunes by Indian artist Jaywant Naidu, accompanied by a group of creative musicians on 12 & 13 October at the Cultural Hall.

 

On 14 October 2021 at 8:00pm, at Dar Al-Muharraq, the Qalali Folk Band will entrain its pubic with unforgettable music pieces. On 15 October 2021, Dar Bin Harban Band will certainly dazzle its audience in a concert to be held at Dar Bin Harban in Muharraq at 8:00pm. The closing concert will be held at Dar Al Riffa Al Sagheera, on 16 October 2021, by Dar Al Riffa Al Sagheera Music Band.
