Al-Jasra Handicrafts Center Continues to dazzle with its Creative and Traditional Handicrafts Workshops Program in September

Al -Jasra Handicrafts Center continues to dazzle its lovers with a series of amazing traditional and creative crafts’ workshops training program, aimed to introduce and discover the techniques of the traditional and unique creative Bahraini crafts for those interested in handiworks. The training program kicked off with two workshops in September namely, “AutoCAD Program” workshop, organized in cooperation with Bahrain Creative Youth Foundation, as well as “Introduction to Mosaic” workshop for beginners . 

  

In addition, on 19-20 September, Al Jasra Handicrafts Center held, “Pressed Flowers Resin, workshop. The resin is one of the new materials used in many handicrafts and works of art and it had spread widely in the world, coinciding with another “Hand Embroidery, held between 19-23 September 2021. Participants will discovery and learn about hand embroidery, a traditional craft that was a common old profession practiced by women at home as a source of income and pass time in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center is hosting also “Basics of Crochet Stichess” workshop, starting form 20 until 23 September 2021.  In fact, Crochet also known as knitting, is winding a thread with small needles that have a hooked shape known as yarns, which are usually wool, silk, or cotton.  It is a favorite technique for many needle workers, because its yarn stitches allow you to create beautiful home decor accessories from tablecloths and bedspreads to doilies and delicate edgings. This versatile technique also produces fashion items such as vests, sweaters, mittens and hats, scarves as well as a myriad of adorable items just for babies. Al Jasra Handicrafts Center, in cooperation with the Creative Youth Foundation, will organize, between 26 to 29 September 2021, “Photoshop” workshop, whereby participants will learn the basics and key skills of using the program to design artworks, and do other tasks related to modifying images; such as color editing, background changing, adding people to the picture, or writing texts on them. As well as composing designs for websites, creating illustrations and video modification and editing.

 

Al Jasra Handicrafts Center will conclude its series of workshops program with “The Terrazzo –table- Making “workshop”, whereby participants will learn how to use mosaic pieces to make “Terrazzo” tables.  In compliance with the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) taken the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to preserve the safety of the trainees and trainers, participation is permitted only for those who are fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus and a limited number of participants.
