On the sidelines of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka and the inauguration of its national pavilion, “Connecting Seas,” H.E. Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and Commissioner-General of the Pavilion, met with H.E. Abdulrahman Al Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the State of Kuwait.
The two sides underscored the importance of joint cultural efforts within the Gulf region, highlighting their role in strengthening the international standing of GCC countries. They also noted that the participation of Gulf nations in a global platform such as Expo 2025 Osaka offers a valuable opportunity to showcase the achievements and rich heritage of the region’s peoples.
H.E. Al Mutairi toured the Bahrain Pavilion, where he was introduced to its architectural design, sensory experiences, and diverse exhibitions that reflect the Kingdom’s historic relationship with the sea. The pavilion draws inspiration from Bahrain’s maritime heritage and the traditional craft of shipbuilding, blending it with the refined techniques of Japanese woodworking.
